5 MINUTE QUICKIES #6 STAND UP & BE DRIED

In this art form there is one thing EVERY artist has in comon no matter what the project is, no matter the project theme, no matter the project materials being used not even where we are in the world in relation to climate - DRYING WHILE GLUING OR PAINTING. I most times simply 'hang' my work from hooks to dry, but thats often at the balloon stage which is simple enough. Of course once i start sculpting the details onto the balloons in question things get heavy & more difficult to then hang up. Thats when i have to switch to a stand. I currently have three standing methods i employ. Free standing simply standing the project on it's own. columb or tube standing in which i employ a small three tube based stand i made (which doubles up as a camera stand to while videoing). As well as an old large rotating fan stand base for larger projects. You can see the latter two examples below. The large fan stand is great as i can alter the height of the stand so i can access the underneath of a project. A small block of foam taped to the top of the fan stand tubing stops the metal tube damaging the wet project.
